Come on out on Tuesday evening (1/17) and join Cole Fischer in learning to tie simple Clouser minnow streamers. The Clouser is an extremely versatile fly and will introduce working with bucktail to make larger profiles. This class will build on techniques used from last week’s class about midges and advance your skills further. These classes are FREE! We have vises, tools, and instructions included and materials for purchase in the store or feel free to bring your own. Cole is a fantastic instructor and tier, he will help you learn everything you need to be successful in tying flies. Materials to bring:
Hooks size 4, 2 or larger
Dumbell eyes medium or large
Bucktail – any colors will work
Thread 3/0 or stronger (210 denier is best)
Thursday (1/19) will be a musky fly oriented “free-tie” session with Spotswood Payne. The instruction will build on last week’s class to more advanced techniques in tying large musky or predator flies. Please feel free to bring your own materials or Spotswood will help you select some while you are here. As always, tools, vise, and instruction are free! Give us a shout to sign up or drop on in!
