Gordon: I have not fished the Jackson but hope to soon. I enjoy your fishing reports and hope that by commenting here and providing a link to an article on my blog that my readers will find Albemarle Angler and vice-versa. I've got a couple of listings now with frontage on trout streams. Hope to see you soon.http://cvillexpert.com/wordpress/?p=13

We have not noticed much poaching this year mainly because during the first and warmer months the bridge was out. Fish population has been great to this point and probably will continue to hold through the colder months. The problem usually comes in the warmer months.

Has there been any improvement with the poaching situation? I had purchased Moorman's permits for several years, but surrendered in the face of endless supplies of empty worm containers, other stream-side litter, and depleted fish stocks.

November 8, 2008

Rose River Farm is fishing great with plenty of water and lots of PMD's coming off-- size 16 drys working great. Have Gordon book you a trip to try out our exceptional waters that are located only about half an hour from Cville.

Tight Lines,
Douglas

Gordon introduced me to the old school triple wet fly technique a year or so ago. While I am more of a dry fly man, I must say it is a very effective method and one that works well on the fish at Rose River Farm.
