It’s been a few years but, we finally have the Bahamas back in our rotation of hosted trips. Your host for this trip is Albemarle Angler employee and guide, Pete Hof. For our March 9-13th, 2023 trip. No matter if you are new to saltwater fly fishing or you have dozen of double digit bonefish under your belt, this trip won’t disappoint.

Situated between the middle and south bight of Andros, Swains Cay offers easy access to the best flats and Land of the Giants.

You will be greeted by your driver at the Mangrove Cay airport for the short ride to the lodge. As soon as you turn into the lodge you start to realize the beauty of the lodge and the Caribbean paradise that will be your home base for your stay. Well appointed rooms, beautifully manicured grounds, and fantastic Bahamian cuisine make Swains a lodge you will return to year after year.

Your day starts with a great breakfast, juice and coffee. Your driver will be there to meet you after breakfast for the short drive to either the middle or south bight where your guide will be waiting. Which location you will be fishing will depend on where the guide believes the fishing will be the best for the day. Some days the middle bight might be great, others the south bight might be the ticket. Having the flexibility of easy access to both within a few minute drive assures you will be fishing the best locations every day. You will have a packed lunch on the boat and return around 5:00pm. Upon return to the lodge grabbing a cold Kalik and catching a few bonefish on the home flat in front of the lodge is a great way to kill some time before dinner.
