Peacock bass from the Agua Boa.
November 15-23, November 22-30, 2024
We will be hosting a small group of adventurous anglers to Agua Boa Amazon Lodge in Brazil during November 15-23 and November 22-30, 2024. Agua Boa is an unparalleled jungle location where one can target BIG Peacock Bass and a host of other fun species in clear rivers while the bountiful wildlife watches over. The Agua Boa is a fly fishing only river and the people’s conservation efforts have protected its heritage as a legendary Peacock Bass fishery.
Agua Boa Amazon Lodge is located in one of the Amazon’s last remaining tracts of uncut and uninhabited rainforest on a clear water peacock bass fishery. The lodge provides fishermen with a level of comfort, friendly service, and sense of privacy in the rainforest that will make anyone feel at home. Of course, one look out at the white sand beach in front of camp, and you will know immediately that you are someplace far from home.
Fishing the Agua Boa River offers the fly fisherman a trip that they will never forget. It is not just a fishing experience, casting a fly to strange and exotic fish in these pristine waters. They are, in our opinion, the fiercest freshwater fish you can catch on a fly-rod. Unlike most other Amazon fishing destinations, the beautifully clear waters of the Agua Boa, combined with the light sandy bottom, allow sight fishing to cruising Peacock Bass, Arowana, Arapaima, Pacu and other jungle fish species. When the river has not dropped, anglers will spend less time in the main river channel and will instead focus upon the lagoons that are attached to the river and literally teeming with fish.
Our hosted trip will include 2 nights in Manaus, which is a unique and culturally rich city, and all in country transfers. We will fly directly from Manaus to a landing strip at the lodge in a small charter plan as a group. This eases the headache of transfers and will provide for unparalleled views of the Amazon Rainforest. We will then be treated to phenomenal service and fun powerful fishing for 7 nights and 6.5 days. This will truly be an incredible trip that shouldn’t be missed!

Kay Fly Fishing Lodge, located in the small fishing village of Punta Allen on the Yucatan Peninsula, is one of the best fishing focused lodges in the Caribbean and not to mention one of the best values in destination travel fly fishing. Tarpon, permit, bonefish, snook
