What: The Albemarle Angler is partnering with Starr Hill Brewery to put on a series of fly tying classes. We will be tying innovative and effective patterns for our region. $20 per participant covers your vise, tools and material for the evening. With smallmouth season around the corner, we will be tying up some ‘Soul Shine Sliders’ (pictured); an extremely effective freshwater streamer, as well as saltwater flats fly. No experience necessary. Seating is limited and going fast. Nothing belongs on the tying bench like a good craft brew!
This Wednesday is also Starr Hill’s ‘Steal the Pint Night’ as well as ‘Cheers for Charity’, in which a dollar from every pint sold goes to a local charity. This month supports the National MS Society.
So come on out to tie some flies and steal some pints for a good cause!
