The winter months in Virginia are a phenomenal time to get out and chase fish. After all, these months make up a huge bulk of our trout season. In addition, angling pressure is lower and fish are often more willing to take a fly. Everyone here at The Albemarle Angler looks forward to winter because the fishing opportunities are oh so good!
We want to share these great fishing experiences with you. Whether novice or advanced, there is always something new to learn or a fun experience to be had. As an incentive to get out and enjoy the winter fishing we are offering half priced wade guided trips for the months of January and February! This means that for a half day your rate would be $112.50 and a full day would be $162.50! Remember, our guide fees cover one or two people making this offer and incredibly good opportunity to hire a guide for the day to hone your skills and learn new waters. Learn about our guided trips.
Virginia has a plethora of great public waters where we do much of our guiding. However, we manage four sections of privately owned, stocked, and managed trophy trout water. These private waters provide an exceptional opportunity to heighten the fishing experience to a level unsurpassed in Virginia. To that end, we will be stocking Big Bend Farm on January 12th, as well as Sugar Hollow Farm and our guided only Moormans River property next week. Learn about our streams. Don’t miss out on all the fun, give us a call to book a guide and enjoy the winter fishing in Virginia. Call 434-977-6882 or contact us HERE
