The Albemarle Angler offers a premium fly fishing guide service in and around Charlottesville. Whether you are looking to wade into your first triple trout slam, chase elusive musky, or feel the rush of smallmouth on topwater flies, we have a trip for you! The guide team has years of experience and intimate knowledge of the region’s waters. Our guided trips are designed for anglers of all skill levels, from first-time fly fishers to experienced enthusiasts looking to further refine their techniques. 

Our guided trips include any gear you will need: rods, reels, line, waders, boots, etc. But if you have your own gear, you are encouraged to bring it!

We fish all year with trip offerings depending on water conditions. In general, cooler months are trout and musky focused while the warmer parts of the year are spent chasing gar and smallmouth bass. Please see below for our yearly schedule of offerings and prices. Please note that exact dates regarding the opening and closing of trip offerings is dependent on water temperatures and are therefore not set-in-stone.
